Installation

In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click Install..., and choose the Hyper Bar add-on ZIP file. Enable the add-on, then open the 3D Viewport sidebar with N and go to the Hyper Bar tab.

The progress bar is available in two places: inside the 3D Viewport sidebar and, optionally, in the render window header.

Panel Overview

The Hyper Bar panel keeps the main animation render tools and status information in one compact place.

Progress Bar Shows render percentage, rendered frames, total frames, and ETA when enough data is available.
Live Metrics Shows elapsed time, average frame time, and the estimated finish time while rendering.
Render History Stores recent render sessions, including frame range, finish time, elapsed time, and average frame time.
Render Animation The Render Animation button is only a shortcut for Blender's native animation render. While a render is active, the button is disabled to prevent starting another render by accident.
Clear History The small trash button next to Render Animation clears the render history list. It only removes the saved history entries from the panel; it does not affect rendered files or Blender render settings.

Add-on Settings

Open Blender Preferences, find Hyper Bar in the add-ons list, and open its settings. You can also use the small settings shortcut in the Hyper Bar panel header.

ETA Recent Window

ETA Recent Window controls how many finished frames Hyper Bar uses to calculate the average frame time and ETA. It does not average the whole render from the beginning; it looks only at the most recent frames, calculates a rolling average, and uses that average to estimate the remaining time.

Default value: 50

The default value of 50 gives a smoother ETA and helps ignore small frame-to-frame spikes. This is usually best for scenes where render time stays fairly consistent across the animation.

For dynamic scenes, where the render becomes heavier or lighter during the animation, use 10. A smaller window follows recent changes faster, but the ETA may move around more because it reacts to fewer frames.

Show In Render Window

This setting controls whether Hyper Bar is also shown in the render window header.

Default value: On

Turn it off if you want to keep the render window header cleaner.
